Growing creative people, communities and industries
Arts Nexus, is a non-government, “for-purpose” community based entity, revitalising and expanding its operational capacity to equip the Far North Queensland (FNQ) arts, cultural and creative industries sector to be a significant partner in the cultural, social and economic development of the region, Queensland and Australia. A catalytic leader that drives policy and strategic planning to contribute to the regional planning and provide innovative solutions that incorporate cultural context.
“We believe that the region is a hot spot for creativity. Behind many homes, community halls, sheds and shared spaces are creative micro businesses and individual practitioners that contribute to the vibrancy of our region. There is not a week goes by that you can’t see something amazing that has been generated locally.
At Arts Nexus we aim to support the arts and cultural sector to put more money into their pockets and ultimately into the economy.”
Jenuarrie, President, Arts Nexus

Little Lunch Online (LLOL) is a chance to check in and connect with each other while we grab a quick bite of lunch, or a morning coffee for folk in the West. It’s a quick 30 minute window to share ideas and resources, and plan our actions in responding to the pandemic, the climate crisis and whatever global emergency awaits us next.
Our dystopian future may have arrived a little early but social distancing won’t stop us from staying connected, sharing resources and doing even more amazing work.
Online events hosted by ArtsFront and the Feral Arts team. Arts Nexus is proud to be a part of this national Creative Conversation. Our team are coordinating the Captioners team for each Little Lunches On Line session and ArtsFront event.
Arts Front is providing live captioning and Auslan signing to improve the accessibility of the Little Lunches for each session, ensuring access for both panellists and participants.
The Captioners are all arts practitioners that have offered their skills to provide this service. Introductions can be made to the Captioner team, if you would like to provide this service on your next online event.
