“CAFÉ Project – Youth Art” – Exhibition at the Foyer Gallery, Mabel St, Atherton until Fri 27 June
A collection of drawings, paintings and 3D works done by dozens of youth in four towns during January and April school holidays. Expect to see bright and bold large scale works that will surprise and delight you.
The CAFÉ Project is a joint initiative of the Queensland Government and Tablelands Regional Council.
Playshop: The Joy Of Movement
Play! Dance! Connect! with Playshop: The Joy Of Movement at Herberton
A fun and creative way to connect, explore and experience the energy and unique chemistry that Nia brings to your body and your life. It is a fun group dance, including freestyle and some martial arts movements. It works on the body, mind and spirit. All people are welcome, no matter, which fitness level. We will work to the capability of our own bodies. It shall be fun, no competition. There is a small fee involved. Experiment with the nine movement forms of Nia: Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, Modern, Jazz, Duncan Dance, Yoga, The Alexander Technique and the Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais. A full Classic Nia Class is included .
