Are you involved in Land and sea rangers, art making and cultural practice, coast and land care, cultural tourism operator or a festivals and event manager? Perhaps you have a small business, run a community group, have an idea or product to sell, this will be of interest to you.
A series of focused conversations will be held across the region, to gather ideas on how to develop and promote the many authentic experiences there are for visitors to Tropical North Queensland. Wet Tropics Management Authority, Arts Nexus and Queensland Water and Land Carers co-hosted a forum in 2017 to investigate the potential for an Eco and Arts Tourism Strategy.
These focused conversations funded by Building Better Regions will inform the strategy, which will include the creation of a website dedicated to non-mainstream, community-based activities focused around art, culture and the natural environment. It will include an online calendar for art and nature-based events as well as trail maps to disperse visitors throughout the TNQ region.
To support those that are not able to travel or attend the Focus Groups, we have organised two ONLINE sessions. You will be sent a link and can operate it from any device including computer, table or phone.
Essential to RSVP to ensure you receive the link in time.
